Day 1: When we arrive in Entebbe – 13 Days Ugandas Big 5

When you reach Entebbe International Airport, our driver guide from Nsavi Safaris will be there to meet you. The guide will take you to the hotel where you will stay for one night. If you arrive early, you can choose to do something in Entebbe.

On the second day, we will be going to Murchison Falls National Park to see the rhinos.
Begin the journey to the famous Murchison Falls National Park. This park is very big and is a home to many different types of animals and birds. They live in the grasslands and forests. You will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on the way, where you can see southern white rhinos. While you are here, you can take part in a safari where you walk and see the rhinos. After you finish eating, go to the park and then go to where you will be staying. Have fun going on a ride to see animals in the park during the evening.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise – 13 Days Ugandas Big 5

After eating breakfast early in the morning, you can go on a fun drive to see animals in their natural habitat. Go for a ride in the African savanna to find big cats, scavengers, large mammals, and different types of antelope. You can also have fun discovering various kinds of birds. This is a pretty car ride through the flat land, with lots of tall palm trees and fields of grass, until we reach Lake Albert. In the afternoon, you can go on a boat ride to the bottom of the falls. Come and see these amazing waterfalls where the Nile passes through a narrow 7-meter space. Afterwards, return to the lodge by driving.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park – 13 Days Ugandas Big 5

Go to Kibale National Park and you will see tea plantations on the road. This forest is home to 13 different kinds of monkeys, like red colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey monkeys, red tailed monkeys, and rare L’Hoest monkeys. It also has over 335 types of birds, some of which are rare and only found in the Albertine region and different parts of tropical forest in Uganda. In the afternoon, you will reach where you will be staying.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and take a walk in the bigodi swamp – 13 Days Ugandas Big 5

After you eat breakfast, you will go and find chimpanzees in the forest. You will have a great time and enjoy being with these chimpanzees. These fascinating monkeys are very similar to humans and are enjoyable to watch having fun both on the land and in the trees. Come back to the lodge to eat lunch. In the afternoon, you can take a walk in the Bigodi wetland. There, you’ll get to see various kinds of monkeys and birds, like the Great Blue turaco, which is famous in this area. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn about the nearby communities and the work they are doing.

Day 6: Visit the Kasenda lakes and then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Today, you will drive past the kasenda crater lakes and then keep driving to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park in Uganda is very famous because it has beautiful drives where you can see many different wild animals and over 600 species of birds. The park has various types of environments, like open grasslands, wetlands, and forests. Go on a safari in the park.

Day 7:  Game drive and Boat ride on the Kazinga Channel.

Go on a drive to see animals early in the morning. This park has more than 100 types of animals, such as lions, hippos, buffalos, leopards, hyenas, elephants, and a rare giant forest hog. You will also go to see the salt lakes in Katwe before going back to the lodge. In the afternoon, you will go on a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. This channel brings together Lakes George and Edward. Here, you can watch different animals and many types of birds coming to the water. Go back to the lodge. You will have fun going on a car ride in the park after the boat ride.

Day 8: Tree Climbing Lion and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Today, you will be going to visit the southern part of Queen Elizabeth called the Ishasha sector. This place has lions that climb trees, which is really cool to see in the park. You will have a short drive to find them before going to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park has the most mountain gorillas and many unique birds, like the blue-throated broadbill and bar-tailed trogon. Go to the lodge to check in. Tonight, you should sleep earlier to make sure you are well-rested for an exciting day of gorilla trekking tomorrow.

Day 9: Searching for gorillas in the wild – 13 Days Ugandas Big 5

Once you finish eating breakfast, go to the park office where you will get an introduction and meet the people who will lead you during the day. Going on a hike to see the Mountain Gorilla is a very thrilling and amazing adventure with animals that live in nature. The hike will last for 2 to 6 hours, but it is definitely worth it. An experienced ranger will guide you and share interesting information about plants, animals, and how gorillas live their life. Trekking can involve climbing and hiking. When you find a gorilla family, you can spend an hour observing them up close. After that, go to Lake Mutanda.

Day 10: Resting day to take it easy and rest.

You can spend a whole day in a calm and relaxing way by the lake, enjoying the beautiful views of the Virunga mountains while preparing for the activities planned for the next day. You can enjoy riding in a boat on the pretty lake and take part in lots of activities offered by the Lodge when you have free time.

Day 11: you can choose to either go on another gorilla trek or  trek  golden monkeys.

Today, you can go to Mgahinga National Park and either go gorilla trekking again (it costs $700 per person), or you can choose to go golden monkey trekking (which costs $100 per person). The ranger guide will tell you what to expect when you’re searching for golden monkeys in the Virunga volcanoes. After we explain everything briefly, you will begin your hike to find the special golden monkeys. Golden monkeys move quickly unlike gorillas, and you will watch them as they eat. They enjoy eating bamboo shoots, as well as other foods like fruits, plants, and occasionally ants. You can only be with the golden monkeys for 1 hour before you have to go back to where you started and continue your trip to the lodge.

Day 12: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park – 13 Days Ugandas Big 5

Today, you will go to Lake Mburo National Park, which is the smallest national park in Uganda. When you go into the park, you will have fun going on a drive to look for animals like impala, zebra, eland, and other types of antelope. Go to the lodge and stay overnight.

Day 13: In the morning, we will go for a walk in nature and then leave.

In the morning, join a guided walk in nature where you can see giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, and other animals. Afterwards, you will drive back to Entebbe International Airport and catch your evening flight back home.
