Gorilla Trekking Uganda – This tour lets you visit famous National Parks in Uganda. You can go on game drives and boat cruises at Lake Mburo National Park. At Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, you can see gorillas. Queen Elizabeth National Park offers game drives and a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. Day 1: Arival at Entebbe National Park - Gorilla Trekking Uganda

When you arrive, the JM Jungle Safari guide will meet you and take you to your Guest House or Hotel where you will stay overnight. Depending on when you arrive, you can choose to go on a boat trip to Ngamba Island (optional and not included in the price), visit the nearby Entebbe Botanic gardens or go to the Uganda Wildlife Education center.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo - Gorilla Trekking Uganda

After eating breakfast, go for a drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Along the way, make a stop at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe. You can take pictures, do some stretching, and try out easy experiments there. You will reach Lake Mburo National Park on time for a drive to see the animals on the way and a boat ride on the Lake.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After you eat breakfast, you will go on a fun car ride through Lake Mburo National Park on your way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Southwestern Uganda. During this trip, you can enjoy beautiful views of the green hills in Uganda. You will also see banana and tea farms along the way. You will have lunch on the way and reach Bwindi in the evening.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking - Gorilla Trekking Uganda

After eating breakfast early in the morning and bringing your lunch with you, you will go to the Park Headquarters around 7:45 am to sign in. Then, you will meet with other trackers to learn about what you should and shouldn’t do during your Gorilla Tracking adventure. 

Your guides will show you the way through the dense plants and bushes as you hike to find the Gorillas. This hike can take you from 30 minutes to 45 minutes to a few hours. The terrain with a lot of trees is very thick, but there are many paths made by animals that people can use to go through it. How long the trek takes depends mostly on how the gorillas move. But it feels amazing to be with these beautiful animals that are in danger of disappearing.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elisabeth National Park

This morning, you will leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park. So, get ready to see some amazing views as you go. You will get to the lodge in time for lunch. After that, you will go on a game drive in the plains of Kasenyi to find Savannah animals like buffalo, antelope, and elephants. If you’re lucky, you might even see lions and leopards.

Day 6: Game Drive and Afternoon Boat cruise at Kazinga Channel - Gorilla Trekking Uganda

This morning you will go back to the plains of Kasenyi to look for things you might not have seen yesterday during a game drive. Lunch will be provided at the lodge. After you finish eating lunch, you will go to the jetty by the Kazinga channel for a boat ride in the afternoon. This cruise allows you to see nice animals like hippos, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and birds that go to drink water.

Day 7: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kibale - Gorilla Trekking Uganda

After you eat breakfast, you will go to the Northern bank of the Queen Elizabeth National Park (Kasenyi) to look for wild animals like elephants, buffalo, and wild cats. You may also see different types of antelopes such as water buck and Uganda kobs. also, the birds that live in Savannah. After you eat lunch, you will go on a drive to Kibale National Park and arrive at your lodge in the evening.

Day 8: Chimpanzee Trekking - Gorilla Trekking Uganda

After you finish eating breakfast, you will be taken to Kibale National Park Headquarters, which is called Kanyanchu. Here, you will meet up with other people who are going trekking in the forest to see chimpanzees. Before you start, there will be a meeting to give you information and instructions. 

You will be accompanied by an knowledgeable and experienced ranger/guide who will lead you on a guided primate walk in Kibale Forest National Park. This forest allows you to visit a group of chimpanzees that are used to human presence. You can spend an hour with these amazing apes and watch how they behave. You can take pictures. Make sure you have your cameras nearby. Kibale National Park is a place where you can see 13 different kinds of monkeys and apes, in addition to the Chimpanzees. There are many types of birds that live in the forest. 

Actually, this is another great place for people who love birds. After eating lunch, you will go to Bigodi wetland for a walk in the wetland. You might see monkeys and different kinds of birds. This walk will help you understand how the local people in Bigodi are helping to protect the wetland. You have the option to help them by giving items instead of money. Please understand that you are not required to do this.

Day 9: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park - Gorilla Trekking Uganda

Go on a road trip to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass through little towns, villages, and see beautiful views of the cliffs. You’ll arrive at the park in the evening.

Day 10: Game Drive and Boat Cruise to The Botom of the falls

After drinking coffee in the morning, you will be taken to the Northern part of the park called Paraa for a drive to see animals. The word Paraa comes from a language spoken by a group called the Luo. It means a place where there are hippos. This game drive will let you see animals like giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, and maybe even lions and leopards if you’re lucky.

After you have lunch, you will go back to the lodge. Then, you will go to the pier for a boat ride that will take two hours. During the ride, you will see a lot of Hippos in groups and also see the River Nile squeezing into a small narrow area and then exploding out. This will give you a very exciting and unforgettable experience.

Day 11: Transfer Back to Entebbe

After you finish eating breakfast, you will take a car ride back to Entebbe international Airport. If you have enough time before your flight, you can choose to visit the Zziwa Rhino sanctuary. It’s not mandatory and not included in the tour.
