Africa Safaris and Tours Highlights

Wildlife of Uganda

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park - Africa Safaris and Tours

After eating breakfast, begin your trip to Murchison Falls National Park by driving on Bombo road. It will probably take you around five hours to reach there. When you get to the park, go straight to the Top of the falls. It’s a beautiful place to see the strong River Nile and the powerful rush of water flowing down a narrow drop. Go directly to where you will be staying for the night.

Day 2: Game Drive and bottom of Falls Cruise - Africa Safaris and Tours

Start your day early by going on a drive to explore the Northern Delta Nile area. You can see lions, buffaloes, waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, Rothschild’s giraffe, oribi, and baboons. Go back to eat breakfast and then you can get on a boat to go on a cruise on the Murchison falls in about two hours. You will see groups of hippos and crocodiles, and also some small groups of Buffalo. There are many different types of birds that live near the papyrus plants, such as the shoebill stork. At the base of the waterfall, you can witness its beautiful and impressive descent while capturing photos of the amazing and unforgettable scenery. Afterward, return to the hotel to have a late lunch and relax. You can spend time talking with others, have dinner, and then stay overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi National Park - Africa Safaris and Tours

I had a good breakfast and packed up to go to another fun place. We will go to Bwindi impenetrable national park, which is where the rare mountain gorillas live. You will have a beautiful drive to Bwindi, where you can see Lake Albert, the Rwenzori ranges, Kibale forest, and Lakes George and Edward. You will also pass through local communities on your way there.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Wake up early and get your trekking gear and breakfast. Don’t forget to bring your packed lunch and water. Then, go to the briefing at 8:00am. Get ready to trek the gorillas in the dense forest of Bwindi. You will be assigned a family of gorillas to track. Once you find them, you will have an hour to spend with the gorillas. Depending on how you feel after the hike and how much time is left, you could do another activity. It could be a walk in nature to visit the Batwa community. After that, you can go back to your lodging to freshen up, have dinner, and then get a good night’s sleep.

Day 5: Transfer Back to Entebbe

Right after you finish eating breakfast, you go to the car to travel to Kampala. During the trip, you will have lunch along the way and stop at the equator to take some pictures. If you’re interested, you can also visit the craft shops. When you arrive in Kampala in the evening, you will be taken to the hotel where you have made a reservation. There, you will have dinner and rest.

Day 6: Transfer Back to Entebbe

On the fifth day, we went back to Entebbe.
You can have a tasty breakfast when you wake up before you pack your bags and get in the car to go back to Kampala. So the safari is over.

Day 7: Transfer Back to Entebbe

Grab a cup of coffee from Africa and head towards Kampala. The driver will drive slowly so you can see more animals when you go back. After having lunch in Kampala, the driver will take you either to the airport or the hotel. The 7-day Uganda safari has come to an end.
