This full day Holiday Tour – Jinja Rafting is one of the adventures you can do near the town of Jinja, the source of the Nile River in eastern Uganda. The Nile offers a genuine adventure. Day 1: Holiday Tour - Transfer from Kampala to Jinja
After a leisurely breakfast, depart Kampala immediately for Jinja, usually a 2-hour drive. Depart Kampala by 7am at the latest. Continue along the Jinja Kampala Highway. Before reaching Mabira, you will pass through Lugazi, the largest natural forest in central Uganda. Lugazi stretches for several kilometers along the Kampala-Jinja highway and is home to many sugarcane plantations.
Upon arrival, the rafting team will pick you up in Jinja where you can take a training course. From there, you will be driven to the starting point for a short training session to familiarize yourself with the rafting experience. Choose a class 3 or class 5 express and start your journey.
Enjoy a refreshing bottle of unique Nile beer at any time at the end of your 1-3 hour Nile rafting tour.
After your lunch break, your driver will be waiting for you to return to Kampala. On the way back, stop at Mabira Forest for some bird watching. The forest is home to many species of birds, as well as primates that come to visit at night. This option is often offered to bird lovers. Transfer to your Kampala or Entebbe airport accommodation and get ready for your flight back to your final destination. This concludes his day rafting trip in Jinja.
