Uganda Safaris and Tours – In this 18-day adventure, you will get the chance to see primates and other animals in their natural habitats.
This 18-day trip allows you to explore and enjoy the amazing natural beauty and diversity of Uganda. It includes visits to many of the country’s top attractions, including primate and wildlife areas. See all the five large animals in the open grasslands, get near mountain gorillas in the dense jungle, watch many monkeys and other types of primates, admire the lovely views, the hot climate, and much more.

Wildlife of Uganda

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe International Airport - Uganda Safaris and Tours

Come to Entebbe International Airport. Our driver or someone from the company will be there to greet you and take you to where you will be staying. We will tell you about the tour and answer any questions you have. You get to eat and sleep at the hotel.

Day 2: Kampala, Sezibwa, Mabira Foresr, Jinja - Uganda Safaris and Tours

After you eat breakfast early, the driver will come get you at 7. 00am to start your long adventure, beginning in eastern Uganda. You will go through Kampala and go east on the Kampala-Jinja road. The first great thing to see is the Sezibwa Falls, a special place for the Buganda people. It has amazing waterfalls and a very relaxing environment. Come here and hike the rocks, watch birds, and learn about the stories of the falls and the old-fashioned worshipping that still happens here.

 After that, go back to the road and take another break at Mabira Rainforest, which is the biggest forest in Central Uganda. Go on a 2 hour walk to find the Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, see many birds, monkeys, squirrels, and enjoy the smell of an African jungle. Come back to the road and continue driving to Jinja. When you arrive at your place to stay, have lunch and then go on a one-hour boat ride on Lake Victoria to see where the Nile River begins. Move to your accommodation.

Day 3: Jinja - Mbale, Sipi Falls, Mountain Elgon - Uganda Safaris and Tours

After eating breakfast at 7. 30am, leave the place, drive out of Jinja and go to Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa District, which is further to the east, passing through Mbale town. The Sipi Falls are three beautiful waterfalls located at the base of Mountain Elgon. Arrive at Sipi River Lodge and rest. Then, go on a 3-4 hour hike up and down the hills of Mountain Elgon. You will visit three waterfalls and see amazing views from the mountain to the plains of Karamoja. Go back to where you are staying to have lunch. Later, you can choose to walk around the nearby neighborhoods and coffee farms. We will have dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Mountain Elgon to Kidepo National Park - Uganda Safaris and Tours

After eating breakfast, go on a long car ride to the north of Uganda and arrive at Kidepo Valley National Park, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful and untouched areas in Africa. Lunch while traveling. Come to the park in the evening and go to your place to eat dinner and sleep for the night.

Day 5: Kidepo National Park - Uganda Safaris and Tours

Get up early to drink tea and then go on a morning game drive. Kidepo Valley National Park has a beautiful natural environment and is home to many different kinds of animals like lions, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, cheetahs, ostriches, jackals, dikdik, and gazelles. Come back to the lodge for lunch before going back into the wilderness for more exciting activities. Come back to the lodge for dinner and spend the night there.

Day 6: Transfer to Murchison Falls - Uganda Safaris and Tours

After having breakfast early in the morning, we will leave the hotel and head to Murchison Falls National Park, which is the biggest wildlife park in Uganda. You will visit Gulu town to have lunch. You will arrive at Murchison Falls National Park in the evening. Then, you will go to your lodge for dinner and to sleep.

Day 7: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise - Uganda Safaris and Tours

Get up early to drink some tea or coffee and then go on the game drive before 6:30. Murchison Falls has many different kinds of animals like lions, hyenas, giraffes, hippos, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, ugandakobs, oribi, waterbucks, bushbucks, and many birds that live in the savanna. The game drive is a trip that lasts for 3 to 4 hours. After the trip, we go back to the lodge to have breakfast and lunch. 

Afterwards, we went on a boat ride on the Nile River to see Murchison Falls, which are the most powerful waterfalls in the world. The cruise on the Nile River lets you see many different animals like hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and lots of birds that live in the water. The cruise trip will take 3 hours. After that, we will go back to the lodge for dinner and spend the night there.

Day 8: Murchison Falls to Lake Albert - Uganda Safaris and Tours

After eating breakfast, pack up and leave the lodge. Start driving to Hoima, and you will pass by Murchison Falls. Here’s another opportunity to see more animals in the park. You need to have a lunch break in Masindi before going to Hoima. After that, you will move to Lake Albert Safari Lodge where you can relax for the evening and spend the night.

Day 9: Transfer to Kibale National Park - Uganda Safaris and Tours

After you eat breakfast, leave the hotel and go to Kibale Forest National Park. You will drive through a beautiful valley and countryside. You need to eat lunch in Fort Portal town before you go to Kibale Forest National Park. Get to your place in the late afternoon, sign in, and enjoy the rest of the day and night there.

Day 10: Chimp Trekking at Kibale National Park

Get up early and have breakfast at 6. 30am Then go to the park offices for a meeting. After the explanation, the person in charge guides you and you enter Kibale Forest to search for the chimpanzees. You will also see many other animals like monkeys, birds, and colorful butterflies. When you come back to see the chimpanzees, you can only watch them and follow them for one hour. Go back to the lodge to eat lunch. Afterwards, go for a walk in the Bigodi Wetland. It is full of monkeys, birds, and other animals. Go back to the lodge for dinner and spend the night there.

Day 11: Transfer to Semuliki National Park - Uganda Safaris and Tours

After you finish eating breakfast, leave the place you are staying and go to Semuliki National Park. It will take about two and a half hours to drive there from Kibale Forest. When you arrive, walk to the famous Sempaya Hot Springs. Go to your place to eat, then go on a car ride to see animals like ugandakob, reedbuck, savanna elephant, duiker, waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog, and birds. Go back to the lodge to have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 12: Transfer to Queen Elisabeth National Park

After you finish eating breakfast, leave the lodge and go to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will take a break in Fort Portal town to eat lunch. Go to Queen Elizabeth National Park. When you drive through the park to reach your place to stay, you will see a pretty landscape with small lakes, green fields, and sometimes large animals.

Day 13: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Wake up and have a cup of tea or coffee. Then, go on a morning game drive at 6:30am. The park is really awesome with lots of large animals and a very pretty view. You will see lions, elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, hyenas, and leopards.
Come back to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. Afterwards, we went on a boat ride in the afternoon on the Kazinga Channel. 

It’s a natural stream of water that connects Lakes Edward and George. The channel is a place where many different animals live and it also attracts large animals who come to drink water and get relief from the hot weather. You will likely see many hippos, buffaloes, elephants, crocodiles, monitor lizards, and lots of birds.
Go back to the lodge to have dinner and stay the night.

Day 14: Transfer to Bwindi Forest

Go on a trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After eating breakfast, leave the hotel and drive through the Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You might have the opportunity to see lions climbing trees and other large animals. Have lunch on the way and then go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. This park is where the Mountain Gorillas live. Have a meal and stay overnight at your accommodation.

Day 15: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Batwa Community Walk

Get up and have breakfast early. Choose your lunch for the day and go to the park offices at 7. 30am to receive instructions from the rangers. You have been given the job to find a group of gorillas that are used to having humans around. You will start at 8. 00am and go into Bwindi Forest to find the gorillas. You spend one hour with the gorillas, then come back to find your driver and relax. Later, you visit the batwa community. Have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 16: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Go to Lake Bunyonyi and spend the day enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views of the highlands. Go for a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi and see the islands. After that, go back to the lodge to have lunch. Take a trip to the mountains and visit friendly local communities who are excited to have visitors. You will have dinner and spend the night at your lodge.

Day 17: Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo

Uganda Safaris and Tours – After you eat breakfast, leave the place where you are staying and go to Lake Mburo National Park. When you get to Lake Mburo, go on a drive along the paths where animals live. You can see zebras, impalas, buffaloes, elands, waterbucks, birds, and beautiful views of the area.
Keep going back to where you are staying, rest, and eat lunch. Afterwards, go on a calm and enjoyable boat trip on Lake Mburo. You can also see some animals like hippos and different kinds of birds. Come back to the lodge for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 18: Nature Walk and Travel Back to Entebbe

Get up early in the morning to take a walk in the park and see some animals that are active at night up close. You are being guided by a person who has a weapon. Instead, you have the option to go on a horse ride instead of doing this activity. Come back for breakfast, leave and go back to Entebbe to catch your evening flight home. Lunch is on its way.
