Budget Safari Uganda Highlights

Wildlife of Uganda

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable - Budget Safari Uganda

Start your four-day safari by leaving early from Kampala and traveling to Bwindi. Our company guide will pick you up from the hotel where you stayed and accompany you on the journey. You will have lunch while traveling and then go to the northern part of Bwindi impenetrable rainforest. There, you will do gorilla tracking early in the morning. The stunning landscape, often called the “Switzerland of Africa,” will be an impressive sight as you explore the large countryside.

When you arrive at the part of the forest where you will hike, it could be either Ruhija or Buhoma side. Once you have checked in at your accommodation and gotten refreshed, you can go for a community walk. This walk will enhance your safari experience as you get to see the traditional dances of the Batwa pygmies. Go back to where you are staying for dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi - Budget Safari Uganda

Make sure to wake up early and go to the headquarters for a meeting. Don’t forget to bring your own water and packed lunch because we may be spending a long time in the forest looking for rare mountain gorillas. Before you start the trekking, you will be given information and instructions. Then, you will go out to find the big and calm animals while walking through thick plants and climbing up and down slippery hills.

To listen and observe what is happening in the forest without scaring the animals, we need to be alert and attentive. Keep going until you are face to face with the gorillas. You can spend an hour with them to watch and learn how they act, while also taking amazing photos to keep as memories. Experience the amazing feeling of being with gorillas in a thick rainforest. Then, go back to your lodging for dinner and spend the night there.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elisabeth National Parki - Budget Safari Uganda

If you are lucky, you can drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park and see rare lions that climb trees. Also, don’t miss the chance to see antelopes such as kobs, gazelles, and bush bucks. Keep driving and managing your time well, so you can arrive at the accommodation to relax and then have lunch.

Afterward, get on the boat for an afternoon cruise along the kazinga channel. You will see different water animals like crocodiles, hippos, buffalos, elephants, and various birds such as pelicans, African skimmers, African fish eagles, and the shoe bill if you’re lucky near the edges of the channel. Having a really good camera means you can take really good pictures that you can remember. Spend the night somewhere

Day 4: Chimp Trekking then Back to Entebbe

You have two activities to choose from based on your interests. One option is to go on a primate trek, but instead of gorillas, this time you would be trekking chimpanzees. The chimpanzee trek takes place in kyambura gorge. Just like gorilla trekking, it may take several hours to locate and see the chimpanzees.
Either
We went on a game drive in Kasenyi trail to look for different animals in that part of the park. We saw Topis, Giraffes, Kobs, Warthogs, Buffalos, and many other animals. The park has a total of 100 different types of mammals. Go back to Kampala before noon and arrive in the evening to catch your flight back home from Entebbe.
