When you arrive at the airport, someone from JM Jungle Safaris Uganda will be excitedly waiting to meet you and take you to your hotel in Entebbe where you will stay overnight. You will eat dinner when you arrive. You will stay at The Boma Lodge for one night before going to the stunning west side of Uganda.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park - Uganda Safari Tours

On this day, the person driving and guiding you will come to your hotel after you eat breakfast. They will take you on a trip to Kibale Forest National Park. The trip goes through rural areas in Uganda where you’ll see many farms, houses, and places where people sell fruits and vegetables by the side of the road. Besides these interesting places to visit, the only times we will stop will be for bathroom breaks and to take a rest when necessary.

You will eat lunch in the pretty town of Fort Portal while looking at the amazing views of the Ruwenzori Mountains and the green lawns. You will go to your place to stay and get ready for trekking chimpanzees the next day.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking at Kibale National Park - Uganda Safari Tours

Today is the day for tracking chimpanzees in Kibale National Park, which is known as the primate capital of the world. After you finish eating your breakfast, your driver/guide will take you to the meeting spot before you start the chimp trek. The ranger guide who has a lot of knowledge will explain what to expect and how to behave in the forest.

After we give you important information, you will begin a walk through the rainforest to meet chimpanzees. This will be a special and enjoyable adventure to see animals that are like humans’ closest family. You can spend one hour with them once you find them.

After you eat lunch, you will go for a walk in a swamp in the Bigodi community. The money from this helps the community grow and improve. Besides the swamp, you will also go to various homes to try coffee, learn how bananas are brewed, see basketry, and witness traditional medicine practices.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elisabeth National Park - Uganda Safari Tours

The safari keeps going to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We might also go through the Crater Lakes Region, depending on how the roads are. We will see the Rwenzori Mountain Ranges along the way. You can choose to have breakfast later and then get ready to go afterwards.

You can choose to relax and rest during your free time at the lodge. Instead, you can decide to go on a drive around the park before going to your lodge. Or, you can go for a walk around your lodge in the afternoon to see the nearby village.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise at Kazinga Channel

Discover the incredible wildlife as you embark on a drive through the park, encountering animals in their natural habitat. Then, hop on a boat and journey along the park’s waterways, spotting animals from a different perspective. This package offers a unique and unforgettable opportunity to see the diverse wildlife of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Africa has a lot of different types of animals living freely in their natural habitats. Queen Elizabeth National Park has the most variety of plants and animals compared to any other protected area in Africa. The best time to watch animals playing is in the morning when the hunters are looking for food and before they hide again. You will be using a car that has a roof that can be raised, so you can have more chances to watch the game. You will have the chance to see different and unusual animals like elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs.

In the afternoon, you will go on a boat ride on Kazinga Channel. This channel leads to Lake Edward, where you will see different animals coming to drink water and living in the lake. You will also see many types of birds.

Day 6: Transfer to Ishasha Sector

Ishasha is a part of the Queen Elizabeth National Park located in the south. It is well-known for having lions that can climb trees. After they eat, these animals like to go up fig trees to relax and feel the wind. They can also easily see their prey because the grass is very tall in the savanna. This morning, after eating a late breakfast, you will go to Ishasha to see lions, different types of birds, and other animals.

Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After eating breakfast later than usual, you will go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This park is where half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas live, and it is also recognized as a special place by UNESCO.

If you didn’t see the lions yesterday, you can go on another drive in the park to increase your chances of seeing the tree-climbing lions of Ishasha.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

The best safari experience in the African jungles, where you can spend the day with the huge and friendly mountain gorillas. The journey of walking through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to find gorillas is a special and one-of-a-kind experience. You will begin by receiving important information from the ranger guides. Then, you will be split into groups to follow and observe different gorilla families.

Afterwards, you’ll walk through the forest with the help of a ranger guide to find the gorillas. Once you find the gorillas with your ranger/guide, you will watch them for an hour and then begin the journey out of the forest.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo

After the exciting time in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where you saw gorillas up close, your driver guide will pick you up after breakfast to begin the trip to the peaceful and lovely Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy the curvy roads in the Kigezi Region and take breaks to take pictures.

When you get to the park, you can either go on a boat ride on Lake Mburo or take a walk in nature with a guide. After going through this, you will go back to your lodge for a well-deserved rest.

Day 10: Transfer Back to Entebbe

Your driver will take you on a quick drive to see animals before leaving the park. Today, you will go back to Entebbe by driving. You will leave the park and make a stop at the Equator monument for lunch. You can also buy souvenirs and take pictures in both the northern and southern hemispheres.
