After breakfast, leave Kampala for the national station at Lake Mburo. At this point, ride all the way to the Equator Station so you can stand on the north and south sides of the equator at the same time. You’ll then continue through the grasslands of the savannah, where you’ll see banana plantations and herds of the surrounding Ankole Longhorn cattle, which are common in this part of the country. Upon arrival at the bus stop, check in at the designated parking lot, have lunch, and then take a pontoon ride on Lake Mburo to spot critters like hippos, crocodiles, and other bird species. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
