Rwanda Gorilla Safari – Embark on an incredible 6-Day Chimps Trekking & Nyungwe adventure, starting with a warm welcome from our Safaris driver/guide at Kigali International Airport. Upon arrival, we’ll meet and greet, offer insightful comments about the safari, and then drive to your overnight stay at Muhabura Hotel. Alternatively, based on your arrival time, you may choose to stay in Kigali for the night.

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport – Rwanda Gorilla Safari

Our journey commences with a meet and greet at Kigali International Airport. You’ll be greeted by our Travel driver/guide, who will provide details about the safari. Afterward, you’ll be driven to your hotel, where you can choose to spend the night in Kigali or continue to your next destination, depending on your arrival time.

Day 2: Butare – Nyungwe – Rwanda Gorilla Safari

The second day of your adventure starts in Kigali as you head to Nyungwe National Park via Butare. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the King’s palace and the Rwanda National Museum in Butare, providing cultural insights into Rwanda’s history. Afterward, continue your journey to Nyungwe, where you’ll spend the night at a hotel.

Day 3: Nyungwe Forest National Park (Chimps) – Chimps Trekking

Day three begins with an exciting chimpanzee trek in the morning within Nyungwe Forest National Park. After your trek, you’ll have leisure time to explore the park further or opt for a thrilling canopy walk or a peaceful nature walk. Enjoy birdwatching and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the forest. Spend the night at Nyungwe Top View Hotel.

Day 4: Nyungwe Forest National Park – Kibuye

Following breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the picturesque lake resort situated on the shores of Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is a significant freshwater lake in Rwanda, located within the Albertine Rift valley. It covers an area of 2650 square kilometers and is the largest of all the lakes in Rwanda’s valleys. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the lake, taking in the stunning views. Your overnight stay will be at a local hotel.

Day 5: Kibuye – Musanze – Rwanda Gorilla Safari

After breakfast, proceed to Musanze, the gateway town to the mountain gorillas. During your journey, make a stop at the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village and visit the serene Twin Lakes of Ruhondo and Burera. In the evening, explore Musanze City, engage with local people, and discover artisanal products such as collars and bracelets. Your accommodation for the night will be at a hotel.

Day 6: Musanze to Kigali City –Rwanda Gorilla Safari

Conclude your remarkable adventure by departing from Musanze and heading back to Kigali. Upon arrival in Kigali, enjoy a city tour that includes a visit to the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi. Connect with local artisans and explore their craft, including collars and bracelets. Finally, our driver will transfer you to Kigali airport, marking the end of your unforgettable journey.
