Gorilla Trekking in Uganda

Day 1: Transfer To Volcanoes National Park

Our guide will come to your hotel or the airport in Kigali to take you to Volcanoes National Park in the province of Musanze. Volcanoes National Park has more than 360 mountain gorillas living there. Visitors can go on trips to see 7 groups of gorillas who are used to people being around. You will go to your lodge to eat dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: First Gorilla Trekking - Gorilla Rwanda Safaris

After you eat breakfast in the morning, you will go to Kinigi park headquarters where the park warden will give you some information. After that, you will be given a gorilla group to track. By 8:30 am, all tourists will go to different places to start looking for gorillas. The gorilla trek can take from 1 to 6 hours until you finally find the mountain gorillas, who are always on the move. When you see them, you can be with them and take pictures for up to 1 hour. Go back to where your vehicle is parked to go to the next program.

Day 3: 2nd Gorilla Trekking - Gorilla Rwanda Safaris

Just like yesterday, you will go on another gorilla hike, but this time to see a different group of mountain gorillas. In the afternoon, you have the choice to visit the twin lakes, musanze caves, or stay at the hotel and relax.

Day 4: Transfer to Kigali for City Tour and Departure

After eating breakfast, go back to Kigali. Your tour guide will show you around the city. You will visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site and the local handicrafts market. After that, you will go to the airport for your scheduled flight back home.
