Day 1: Arive in Kigali and Take a Flight to Volcanoes National Park - 3 Days Gorillas in Rwanda
Day 1: We arrive in Kigali and then we either take a drive or a flight to get to Volcanoes National Park.
When you arrive at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda early in the morning, you will go through some paperwork and then your guide will greet you and take you to Volcanoes National Park. The trip takes you through the lovely hills of Rwanda and up to the amazing Virunga volcanoes. You can see up to five peaks along the way. In the afternoon, you can go for a walk to Ruhengeri town and Market. Instead, you can choose to fly from Kigali to the park using a private helicopter.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park - 3 Days Gorillas in Rwanda
Today, you need to wake up early and go to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri. Once you arrive, you will go to the ORTPN offices for some important information. After that, you will go into the forest to search for gorillas. A really exciting journey through the beautiful lower slopes of the Virunga Mountains, led by an expert ranger guide, offers amazing views in every direction. The rainforest is full of sounds from colorful birds and chattering golden monkeys. It is also filled with fresh traces of buffalo and elephant, which are hard to find. Going gorilla trekking can be tiring, but it is a valuable and rewarding experience to see these kind and big animals. Enjoy observing gorillas as they eat, take care of their babies, and relax while the younger ones have fun swinging from vines.
Day 3: Fly Back to Kigali and Departure - 3 Days Gorillas in Rwanda
Today, you will go to Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, by car. You can also decide to take a private helicopter flight from Volcanoes to Kigali. Look at the pretty view as you travel. When you arrive in Kigali for a city tour, you will go to the Genocide Museum in Gisozi. In the evening, you will leave for the airport and take a flight back home.
