Rwanda Safari – Embark on a remarkable 4-day journey of Gorilla trekking and Golden Monkeys trekking, starting from Kigali International Airport. Your adventure will take you to Muhabura Hotel for an overnight stay and into both Virunga National Park and Volcanoes National Park, where you’ll have the privilege of observing primates in their natural habitat. Along the way, you’ll also have the opportunity to visit the captivating twin lakes of Burera & Ruhondo and pay your respects at the Genocide Memorial Centre.

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Travel to Ruhengeri – Rwanda Safari

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your experienced Safaris driver/guide. You’ll enjoy a brief meet and greet, where you’ll gain insights into your upcoming safari. Your journey will then take you to the comfortable Muhabura Hotel for an overnight stay. This scenic drive should take approximately 2 hours. Depending on your flight arrival time, it is also possible to arrange an overnight stay in Kigali.

Day 2: Musanze – Volcanoes National Park (Gorillas) Transfer to Gorilla Trekking – Rwanda Safari

Today, you’ll transfer to Virunga National Park for your first exhilarating Gorilla Trekking experience. You’ll need to arrive at RDB’s Office at 7 am for a brief orientation before embarking on this incredible adventure. Be prepared to create unforgettable memories as you trek alongside these majestic gorillas. At the end of the day, you’ll return to Muhabura Hotel for another peaceful overnight stay.

Day 3: Golden Monkeys Trekking (Volcanoes National Park) – Musanze – Rwanda Safari

Following your morning wake-up call and a hearty breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters. Here, you’ll complete the necessary formalities for your Golden Monkeys trek and receive a briefing from the knowledgeable Volcanoes National Park guides. After an extraordinary Golden Monkey trek, you’ll return to your hotel, savoring lunch and enjoying the splendid scenery. Your overnight stay will once again be at the hotel.

Day 4: Drive Back to Kigali and Visit the Genocide Memorial – Rwanda Safari

Before departing for Kigali, you’ll have the chance to visit the picturesque twin lakes of Bulera & Ruhondo. Nestled at the base of the Muhabura volcano near the Ugandan border, these beautiful lakes are surrounded by steep hills and cascading waterfalls, all framed by the majestic Virunga volcanic mountains. These twin lakes, once hidden gems, feature deep blue waters, encircled by towering hills and impressive waterfalls, with the Virunga Volcanoes providing a breathtaking backdrop. Depending on your departure time and any missed opportunities on the first day, you may embark on a Kigali city tour, including a visit to the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi and an excursion in Kigali town.
