Day 1: Kigali to Ruhengeri – Rwanda Gorilla Trek

Your journey commences at Kigali International Airport, where our driver/guide warmly welcomes you. Expect a meet and greet, insightful safari remarks, and then proceed to Ruhengeri. Depending on your flight’s arrival time, you may opt to stay overnight in Kigali before heading to Ruhengeri in the morning. Your resting place for the night will be Muhabura Hotel.

Day 2: Musanze  to Volcanoes National Park – Rwanda Gorilla Trek

The day kicks off after breakfast with a visit to the RDB office at 7:00 AM for essential guidance from your guide about the upcoming gorilla trekking adventure. You’ll also receive briefings from Volcanoes National Park’s guides. To fully enjoy this tour, it’s important to ensure your physical fitness. Outfit yourself with good hiking boots, long trousers, gloves for protection against nettles, snacks, and ample drinking water to combat the day’s heat and humidity. You’ll spend an unforgettable hour with the gorillas before returning to your hotel for lunch and later indulging in dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Volcanoes National Park – Golden Monkey Trekking

Day three presents an opportunity for a thrilling Golden Monkey trek within Volcanoes National Park. As you trek, you’ll also be treated to views of the park’s majestic volcanoes. Return to your hotel for a satisfying lunch, then set off for Gisenyi to explore the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Later in the evening, make your way to Paradise Malahide for dinner and a restful night.

Day 4: Volcanoes National Park – Lake Kivu

Post-breakfast, prepare for a morning boat ride on the lake, providing a chance to encounter diverse bird species and aquatic life along the lake’s shores. Enjoy some swimming at Serena Hotel Beach. Your evening will be spent at Paradis Malahide Hotel, where dinner and overnight accommodations await.

Day 5: Kigali – Rwanda Gorilla Trek

Conclude your adventure with a city tour in Kigali, including a visit to the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi. Immerse yourself in local culture, explore artisanal products like collars and bracelets, and interact with the welcoming locals. Finally, our driver will transfer you back to Kigali airport, marking the end of your remarkable safari.
