Maasai Mara Safari Kenya Highlights

Maasai Mara Safari Kenya

Day 1: Nairobi to Tsavo West - Maasai Mara Safari Kenya

We go on a trip to Tsavo West National Park by driving on the road. Get there early enough to have lunch and then you can choose to go on a game drive in the afternoon or evening if you want to. Tsavo West is the most popular part of Tsavo National Park and has many things to see and do besides the animals. The most important thing is the well-known Mzima Springs. It is a place where a large amount of very clean and clear water comes out of the ground through special rocks. The water comes from Chuyulu Hills through a river underground.

Day 2: Tsavo West National Park - Maasai Mara Safari Kenya

After we eat breakfast, we will spend the whole day going on a game drive. We will be given a packed lunch to eat during the drive. Other cool places you can go are the Roaring Rocks. They are called that because the wind comes rushing through them really fast. From this spot, you can see beautiful sights of Tsavo from the top of a tall 98m rock.

There are also similar views that can be seen from the poacher’s lookout. The 5-Day Amboseli and Tsavo West tour includes a visit to the volcanic Chaimu Crater. The crater is quite new, only around 200 years old, and made of black coke. It is a fascinating place to see and can be climbed if you are interested. The location is a good spot to find klipspringer, a small antelope that is as nimble as its Swahili name, mbuzi mawe (mountain goat). In the southwest corner of Tsavo West, there is a lake called Lake Jipe. It has the border between Kenya and Tanzania going through it.

Day 3: Tsavo West and Amboseli National Park - Maasai Mara Safari Kenya

Early in the morning, we will begin our journey and drive to Amboseli National Park. Once we arrive, we will check in to our accommodations. The rest of the day will be free for us to relax and enjoy ourselves. Amboseli National Park is located straight south of Nairobi. The park has a lot of dry land that used to be a lake and has fragile grassy areas with some patches of acacia trees. In the south of the park, there are some small rocky hills made from volcanoes. The areas near the swamps Ol Okenya, Ol Tukai, and Enkongo Narok have lots of green plants like yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park - Maasai Mara Safari Kenya

If you wake up early, you can see Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds cover it. You’ll be given a packed lunch. After breakfast, you can choose to visit a Masai village. A visit shows the singing and dancing that are a normal part of their every day lives and special ceremonies. Getting a quick look at their houses and how they are organized socially is a very moving experience. Even though Amboseli National Park’s environment is always changing, it is likely the top place in Africa to see elephants up close. When elephants aren’t bothered by poachers, it’s a special experience to see them eating and bathing in swamps during a safari.

Day 5: Amboseli to Nairobi - Maasai Mara Safari Kenya

On the fifth day, we will travel from Amboseli to Nairobi.
Going on a safari trip in the morning. Go back to where you are staying for breakfast. Leave for Nairobi after eating breakfast. Go to the hotel or airport.
