Mara Masai Safari Highlights

Mara Masai Safari

Day 1: Nairobi to Tsavo West - Mara Masai Safari

We travel to Tsavo West National Park in a car. If you arrive before twelve in the daytime, you get to decide if you want to go for a ride in the afternoon or at night. Tsavo West is the favorite area of Tsavo National Park. There are more things to see than just animals. Let’s start by discussing a well-known place called Mzima Springs. A big area with a lot of clean and clear water, about 227. Three million liters of water come out of the ground and can easily be soaked up by rocks. They believe that the water comes from the Chuyulu Hills by going through a secret river underground.

Day 2: Tsavo West National Park - Mara Masai Safari

We’re going on a long car ride to see animals after we have breakfast. We will bring lunch food. There are some awesome places you can visit called the Roaring Rocks. They are named like that because the wind moves very quickly through them. You can see beautiful views of Tsavo from a large rock, as well as from the spot where people who hunt illegally watch. The Chaimu Crater is a new volcano that is made of dark rock. It is fun to go and you can climb it if you want to. The area is a wonderful place to see klipspringer, which are little and nimble antelopes similar to mountain goats. In a faraway area of Tsavo West, there is a lake called Lake Jipe. This lake is located on the border between Kenya and Tanzania.

Eat your dinner and then go to sleep.

Day 3: Tsavo West and Amboseli National Park - Mara Masai Safari

Wake up early so you can see Mount Kilimanjaro before it becomes covered in clouds. You will receive a pre-made lunch that is packed and ready for you to eat. Once you finish eating breakfast, you can decide to go see a Masai village. When you visit, you will see people singing and dancing every day, even on important occasions. Observing how they live and how they interact with each other is a strong and emotional experience. Although Amboseli National Park is always changing, it is likely the best place in Africa to see elephants up close. When elephants are free to eat and wash themselves in the wetlands without being bothered by hunters, it is one of the best parts of a Safari.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park - Mara Masai Safari

If you wake up early, you can see Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds cover it. You’ll be given a packed lunch. After breakfast, you can choose to visit a Masai village. A visit shows the singing and dancing that are a normal part of their every day lives and special ceremonies. Getting a quick look at their houses and how they are organized socially is a very moving experience. Even though Amboseli National Park’s environment is always changing, it is likely the top place in Africa to see elephants up close. When elephants aren’t bothered by poachers, it’s a special experience to see them eating and bathing in swamps during a safari.
