Day 1: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park / 4 Days Uganda Gorillas

Your adventure commences with an early start. After a nourishing breakfast, your designated driver will transport you to the airport for your morning flight to Kasese Airstrip, conveniently located near Kibale Forest National Park. Upon your arrival at Kasese Airstrip, you’ll be greeted by another skilled driver who will guide you through the captivating landscape to your lodge, nestled in close proximity to the forest. Here, a delectable lunch awaits you.

Following your meal, you’ll be chauffeured to the park headquarters, where you’ll join fellow trackers preparing for the afternoon trek. Park officials will provide a concise briefing, setting the stage for your adventure. Each participant will be assigned a knowledgeable ranger guide who will lead your group deep into the forest to seek out the chimpanzees. Kibale Forest is home to a thriving population of over 2,000 chimpanzees, making it one of the premier destinations for chimpanzee trekking in Africa. After a successful encounter, you’ll be transported back to your lodge to relax and reflect on your memorable chimpanzee experience.

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park / 4 Days Uganda Gorillas

Following breakfast, you’ll bid farewell to Kibale Forest and embark on a picturesque drive to Bwindi. This journey takes you through a stunning array of landscapes and villages along the route. Notably, you’ll traverse Queen Elizabeth National Park, encompassing a broad spectrum of wildlife, from elephants and buffalos to waterbucks and tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. A scenic picnic lunch will be enjoyed in this natural wonderland. Your journey continues southwards until you reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the only day of the trip that involves a drive lasting more than four hours.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park / 4 Days Uganda Gorillas

Considered the highlight of your journey, day three begins with an early breakfast, followed by a rendezvous at the park headquarters by no later than 7:30 am. Here, you’ll join fellow visitors for a comprehensive briefing led by a knowledgeable park staff member. Subsequently, you’ll meet your lead guide, who will guide you into the forest in search of the gorilla family assigned to your group. The duration of this trek can vary from 2 to 7 hours, contingent on the family’s movements from their previous location. Depending on your energy levels, you may opt for an evening community walk through the neighboring villages close to the forest.

Day 4: Flight from Bwindi Forest to Entebbe International Airport

Your final day on this captivating primate safari begins with breakfast. Your trusty driver-guide will then transport you to the nearest airstrip, from which you’ll board a flight to Entebbe International Airport, marking the conclusion of your remarkable four-day primate-focused adventure.
