Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Park - Kenya Mara Safari
You will be picked up from the airport early in the morning to go for a drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. This place is one of the few in the world where wildlife can still live without being disturbed, and there are many animals just like there used to be in the plains and forests of Africa. The Mara is the top part of a large area called the Serengeti. It is where a lot of wildebeest, zebras, and predators gather to move from one place to another at certain times of the year. You will get to the place before lunch and then go on a game drive in the afternoon. You will have dinner and spend the night at your campsite in a tent.
Day 2: Masai Mara National Park - Kenya Mara Safari
After we eat breakfast, we will spend the whole day playing a game while carrying our lunch with us. The park is famous for lions with black hair on their necks, and also for having lots of animals that live there all the time. It’s one of the few places where you can see the Big Five on a morning game drive. A lot of cheetahs are very friendly and like to hide from the hot sun underneath cars.
Some of them even go on top of the car to see if they can find something to eat. For people who like birds, there have been found almost 500 different kinds. These include 16 types of eagles, lots of hawks and falcons, 6 types of vultures, 8 types of storks, 4 types of bustards (including the kori bustard, which is the heaviest bird that can fly), and 9 types of sunbirds.
Day 3: Masai Mara National Park to Nairobi - Kenya Mara Safari
We will get up at 6:00 am to go on a morning game drive and see the sunrise. We’ll go back to where you’re staying at 9:00 in the morning to have brunch. After that, we’ll leave for Nairobi. Lunch will be on its way. You will reach Nairobi in the late afternoon.
