Day-by-Day Itinerary
Meet your guide for the Gorilla trekking in Uganda starting from Kigali and start off from Kigali for your gorilla trekking adventure (if flying in same day plan for a flight arriving at the latest around midday). Cross over to Uganda and continue on to the lodge amidst the Bwindi forests.
Start your day with an early breakfast before heading out for an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park home to the endangered mountain gorillas, often called our closest cousins in the animal kingdom. With a specialized park guide, venture deep into the lush rainforest. Besides the majestic gorillas, the forest teems with birdlife, butterflies, and diverse plant species, as well as sightings of forest hogs, forest elephants, sitatungas, and duikers. You will spend one magical hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat an awe-inspiring and emotional wildlife encounter that is a true highlight of any Uganda safari. After the trek, continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, heading to the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions.
In the early morning we head in to Ishasha to search for tree-climbing lions in the big fig-trees, but also to see buffaloes, elephants, topis and more. After the game Drive we have lunch at the lodge and then make the beautiful drive up to Kibale national park and through the way we may be able to sight some chimpanzees and other primates like the white and black colombus monkeys among others.
After an early breakfast, we depart the lodge and drive to Kibale National Park for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. The trek takes approximately 3 hours, offering an opportunity to observe these intelligent primates in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, we enjoy a community walk, interacting with local residents and gaining insight into their daily lives and cultural traditions
After breakfast, we bid farewell to the beautiful forest and begin our journey back to Entebbe. We'll enjoy a scenic drive with a lunch stop en route. Upon arrival in Entebbe, we'll transfer to the airport in time for your evening flight.
