Upon arrival, our driver-guide will warmly welcome you at the airport. Depending on
your arrival time, you can either unwind with a sunset sundowner by the shores of
Entebbe or dive into the vibrant Cultural Soul Night in Kampala. Your overnight stay
will be in Entebbe or Kampala, based on the experience you choose -the perfect start to
your adventure!

In the morning we head over to Mabamba Swamp to look for the pre-historic looking Great
Shoebill Stork. Here you go with a specialized guide in a boat on the channels of the swamp as
you look for the Great Shoebill Stork. We then start the journey to Kibale Forest where we will
spend the night.
Overnight: Lake Nkuruba lodge.
Today begins with an early morning chimp trekking with guides and rangers as you search for
this cousin of ours, when you find them you will have 1hr to spend with them and after trek
back for the graduation ceremony where you will be rewarded a certificate for having
successfully completed the trek. After here, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National
park for a game drive in search of wildlife. Lunch en-route.
Overnight: Pumba safari cottages.
Start your day with an exciting early morning game drive through the savannah plains of
Queen Elizabeth National Park, as the rising sun paints the sky in golden hues. This is the
best time to spot wildlife at its most active -lions returning from their night hunt, elephants
grazing peacefully, buffaloes wandering in herds, and Uganda kobs leaping gracefully across
the plains. With a bit of luck, you may also catch sight of leopards or hyenas before they retreat into the thickets. The morning air is crisp and alive with bird calls, offering a truly
magical start to the day. After lunch and a short rest, embark on a relaxing afternoon boat
cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake
George. The cruise provides a close encounter with hippos wallowing lazily in the water,
crocodiles basking along the banks, and a dazzling variety of birds, including kingfishers,
pelicans, and African fish eagles. You’ll also see elephants and buffaloes cooling off at the
water’s edge -a perfect scene for photographers and nature lovers alike. As the sun sets over
the channel, you’ll return to your lodge with unforgettable memories of a day rich in wildlife
encounters and the serene beauty of Uganda’s most iconic park.

After an early breakfast, set out for a morning game drive in the Ishasha sector of Queen
Elizabeth National Park an area famous for its tree-climbing lions. Keep your eyes peeled as
you drive beneath the giant fig and acacia trees, where these majestic cats can often be seen
lounging lazily on the branches, surveying the plains below. The Ishasha plains are also home
to large herds of buffalo, elephants, topis, and Uganda kobs, creating a classic African safari
experience against the backdrop of open savannah and rolling hills. After enjoying the
morning’s adventure, continue your journey south towards the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a
UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to more than half of the world’s remaining mountain
gorillas. The scenic drive takes you through beautiful landscapes, rural communities, and
terraced hillsides- offering glimpses into Uganda’s natural and cultural richness. Arrive in
Bwindi later in the afternoon or evening, check in at your lodge, and relax as you prepare for
the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience that awaits you the next day.
Overnight: Buhoma community rest camp
After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable
National Park to get to be enlightened about your adventure with the Mountain Gorillas. You are
advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. At a cost of 15 US dollars, you can get a
potter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing,
you are distributed into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest where you will spend
one hour with the gentle giants. A rain gear is important considering that Bwindi is a tropical
rainforest. You will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi where you will take a swim in Uganda’s most
beautiful lake or take a walk to enjoy nature and explore surrounding communities.
Overnight: Lake Bunyonyi eco resort
After breakfast, you will drive back to Entebbe to embark on your journey back
home. You will have an opportunity to cross the Equator and do some souvenir
shopping, lunch enroute.
