The Africa Safari Experience Highlights

Wildlife safari in tanzania

Day1: Visit Tangire National Park - The Africa Safari

After you eat breakfast, you will drive to Tarangire National Park in Tanzania. In Tarangire National Park, go on a long drive to see animals all day. Tarangire’s landscape has many different types of plants in nine different areas. The biggest trees in Africa are called baobab trees. They can be found all over the landscape and are much bigger than the animals that eat the plants and grass around them.

The Tarangire River is a place where elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and many colorful birds like to visit. The park is famous for having the most elephants in Tanzania. On this safari, you can watch elephant families interact quietly. After having lunch in a park where you can watch animals drinking water from the river (sometimes, you might see lions attacking a thirsty zebra or wildebeest), keep looking at the animals before going back to your campsite for dinner.
You can go on a night drive in Tarangire.

Day 2: Visit to Lake Manyara National Park - The Africa Safari

After you eat breakfast, leave for Lake Manyara National Park. You will spend the whole day driving around and looking at animals in the Great Rift Valley. This beautiful park has a very lush forest of big fig and mahogany trees. It is home to groups of baboons and blue monkeys, even though it is a small park of only 205 square miles. Lake Manyara is famous for having lots of different kinds of birds, with over 400 types in total. It’s also one of the only places where you can see special birds like the ground hornbill and crested eagle. The lions that climb trees and the pink flamingos that live on the lake’s edge have made this park well-known.

This park has beautiful landscapes that are very different from the Serengeti. The game drives happen by the lake and have amazing views of giraffes and buffalos up close. We can also see the lake, flamingos, and plain fields from far away. There are lots of chances to take pictures. Afterward, you will go back to the campsite for dinner in the afternoon.
Riding a bicycle around Lake Manyara is a suggested additional activity.

Day 3: Visit to Serengeti National Park - The Africa Safari

Today, you will go to Serengeti National Park, where the Great Migration takes place. Today’s journey up the mountains to the crater is really amazing. We will make a stop at the edge of the crater to see a beautiful and expansive view of the Ngorongoro Crater. As you keep going and reach the highest point of the hill, you can see the huge Serengeti all around you. It stretches as far as you can see.
Leakey and his team found important fossils that helped us understand human evolution better. Louis and Mary Leakey found the earliest human being on Earth. After you listen to a short talk about the archeology and geology of the gorge, you will have time to visit the small museum.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park - The Africa Safari

After you eat breakfast, you will have a whole day in the Serengeti National Park. You can go on game drives in the morning and afternoon.
Serengeti, which means “endless plains” in Kiswahili, is a huge park that spans an area of 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers). It is the habitat for more than 2 million big animals. There are lots of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles in the area. Lots of animals that are food for other animals, like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, move around the park in big numbers. This brings those big predators to the park. The place has around 500 kinds of birds and also has rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongoose, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, and African hares.
The amazing experience of riding in a hot air balloon over the Serengeti plains is a tour that you really must try.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park To Ngorongoro National Park

Early in the Morning before having Breakfast you will go fo a morning game drive and this will expose you to watch the animals when they are more lively and also admire a beautiful sunrise. After game Drive you will come back to the lodge for lunch and the head to Ngorongoro Crater, which is considered one of the most amazing natural places in the world, in the afternoon. The crater is like a big boat called Noah’s Ark, but it is not real. It has really tall walls that are 2,000 feet high and a wide floor that covers an area of 102 square miles.

It is the place where almost all types of animals from East Africa live, including the very rare black rhino. Actually, the crater has the most animals in one place compared to anywhere else in the world. Because the soil and grass in this area contain a lot of minerals, the big bull elephants that live here have really big tusks. These elephants are extremely beautiful and impressive.
In the afternoon, you will reach Ngorongoro. You can go for a walk in the Ngorongoro highlands in the afternoon.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater - The Africa Safari

Go down to the bottom of the crater early in the morning to see lots of animals in one of the most amazing places on Earth. Go up the steep road out of the hole and move to Lake Eyasi after having lunch near the Hippo Lake and seeing more animals in the afternoon. You will sleep overnight at a campground where anyone can go or in a tent lodge. There are affordable places to stay like Lake Eyasi Public Campsite, Tindiga Tented Camp, and Kisima Ngeda (Luxury).

Day 7: Hadzabe Tribe and Lake Eyasi - The Africa Safari

Come and be a part of the Hadzabe tribe, a real nomadic group in Africa. We can go hunting or collecting fruits together in the morning, before we eat breakfast. It will be an interesting experience. This is something very unique and different from the usual. It gives you a great chance to experience different cultures and take amazing photos. Go see the pretty Lake Eyasi after you have spent time with the tribe. It is a small lake with salt water that can change depending on the time of year. It is found at the bottom of the Serengeti Plateau on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. You will come back to Arusha in the afternoon.
