Congo Travel – This tour is a 4-day trip to Virunga National Park. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to see mountains gorillas and visit the Nyiragongo Volcano.
Congo Gorillas and Nyiragongo are places that you can visit. In Congo, you can see gorillas up close, while Nyiragongo is a volcano that you can explore.
This place has a big volcano called Nyiragongo with the biggest lava lake in the world. It also has mountain gorillas in the Virunga national park. There are less than 1000 mountain gorillas in the world and seeing these special creatures is a very exciting experience.
The hike to the volcano will not be easy (it takes 4 to 6 hours). However, the effort will be completely worth it once you reach the top. The lava lake is amazing, and visitors spend a lot of time watching the lava waves and listening to its loud sounds.

Day 1: Picking Up From Kigali - Congo Travel
In the morning, someone will come to your hotel in Kigali to drive you to the Democratic Republic of Congo. It will take about 4 hours to get to Goma. In the afternoon, go to Virunga National Park.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking - Congo Travel
After eating breakfast at Kibumba Tented Camp, the trekkers will go downhill to meet their Ranger guides. The guides will give them important information before they start the gorilla trek. Usually, treks take 1-2. 5 hours of hiking each way. The time can vary depending on where the gorilla group is and how difficult the terrain is. After spending one hour with a group of gorillas, the trekkers will return to camp. They will have a late lunch and the rest of the day free. They can go on nature walks and watch birds during this time.
Day 3: Climbing Mount Nyiragongo - Congo Travel
After eating breakfast in Kibumba, go to Kibati Ranger post at 8:15am. This is where you start your trek to Nyiragongo volcano. Climbing up the volcano will take about four to six hours, and people who hike will spend the night at the top.
Day 4: Go Down Volcano - Congo Travel
In the morning, begin going down back to Kibati. The typical time it takes to go down is four hours. Go back to Kigali from the bottom.
