Depending on your time of arrive, you will meet on arrival driver guide from JM Jungle Safaris who will transfer you to Lake Victoria serene hotel for your check in, dinner and an overnight. Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa is located approximately 30 km from Entebbe international airport.
Today after your breakfast you will be taken to Entebbe Airport/ Kajjansi air field to catch your fly in safari to Kasese (Queen Elizabeth N.P.)
The journey will take you for about 2 hour to reach Kasese air strip.
Upon arrival in Kasese, you will be picked up from the airstrip by a representative of Pamoja Tours heading to your accommodation which Mweya Safari Lodge located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the Mweya peninsula. Watch wildlife from your private verandah and fall asleep to the roaring of lions on the distant savannah. This truly is Africa!
Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s second largest park, located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. Lions are often sighted both inside and at the entrance to the park.
Today you wake up early. A little before sunrise coffee/tea will be served in the lounge before you head out for a long game drive in time to see the first rays of light. You will search for all the wildlife in the park and are likely to come across Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Water-buck, Leopard, Uganda Kob, and many Warthogs.
A well-deserved lunch will be served back at the lodge in the late morning.
In the afternoon you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. Here, you will see a lot of hippos (more than you can possibly imagine!), as well as a variety of other animals which come to the waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see buffalo, crocodile, bathing elephant, and a range of beautiful birds.
Today you will be transferred to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth N.P. This area is called Ishasha and is famous for its tree-climbing lions.
To escape from the heat during the day, the lions learned how to climb the fig trees. If you’re lucky you might spot a few during your afternoon game drive.
After the game-drive, you will be taken to Ishasha Wilderness Camp, a very nice and luxurious lodge with wonderful views over the savanna and a river packed with hippo!

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and then travel to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park – famously known for tree-climbing lions frequently seen in the area. The chance of spotting these lions stands at about 60-70% but sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Should you get to spot them up in the tree, the sight is picturesque and memorable. From Ishasha, you will continue to the accommodation at the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience tomorrow.
On this day, Prepare yourself for an encounter with one of Bwindi’s gentle giants: the rare mountain gorilla. For most people this is the absolute highlight of their safari in Uganda. The gorillas you will track belong to one of nine habituated family groups who can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day.
Your gorilla trekking will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, entwined vines, bushes and bamboo before you eventually reach the gorillas’ habitat. En-route, your guide will point out signs of previous gorilla activity, including dung, nests and chewed bamboo shoots.
Once the gorillas have been located, you will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. Thereafter you will come back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and an over night stay.
You'll embark on a scenic transfer from Bwindi to the enchanting Lake Mburo National Park, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Uganda's countryside. As you journey through rolling hills and verdant landscapes, you'll be captivated by the breathtaking beauty of the scenery, with occasional sightings of local villages and wildlife along the way.
Upon arrival at Lake Mburo National Park, you'll be immersed in the wilderness and check into your accommodation, where comfort meets nature in perfect harmony. After settling in, you'll get ready for an exhilarating guided game drive in the afternoon, led by experienced rangers who will unveil the park's hidden treasures. You'll traverse the savannah plains and acacia woodlands in search of the park's diverse wildlife, including zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and elusive leopards. As the golden light of the setting sun bathes the landscape in a warm glow, keep your eyes peeled for the iconic silhouettes of giraffes against the horizon.
A game drive in lake Mburo National Park will guarantee you herds of buffaloes, zebras, impalas, birds and so much more without driving so much. Retire to the lodge for lunch, relaxation and then an evening boat cruise on the Lake.
After lunch and short relaxation, you will be driven to the lake to meet your captain of the day who will take you for a two hour boat excursion. Lake Mburo boat cruise is an opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles, water bird such as the African fish eagle and the rare African fin foot. Many animals such as buffaloes and antelopes gather here to drink some water so an opportunity to enjoy wildlife most especial marine animals. After your boat cruise, you will retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
You'll wake up to the gentle morning light and prepare for a walking safari, the perfect way to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of Lake Mburo National Park. Accompanied by knowledgeable guides, set out on foot to explore the park's diverse ecosystems, from open savannahs to lush forests. As you walk quietly through the wilderness, keep your senses alert for sightings of zebras, antelopes, and a variety of bird species that call this park home.
After the morning safari, you'll enjoy a delicious breakfast at your lodge before embarking on the journey back to Entebbe Airport. As you travel through the picturesque countryside, you'll make a memorable stop at the Equator for a unique photo opportunity. Here, you can straddle the line dividing the northern and southern hemispheres and learn fascinating facts about the Earth's geography from local guides.

You need moderate physical fitness. Gorilla trekking can take between 2 to 6 hours in forested terrain, while chimpanzee trekking is usually easier and shorter. Porters are available to carry your bag and assist you during the trek at a small extra cost.

Drive times range between 3 to 6 hours depending on the location. However, Uganda’s countryside is beautiful — full of rolling hills, tea plantations, and local markets. Your guide will make stops for rest, meals, and photos along the way.
