8-Day Classic Luxury Safari
The classic luxury safari package is here in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. You'll watch the Big Five animals, gorillas, chimpanzees, impalas, and zebras in the top-rated national parks of Uganda. The trip includes Murchison Falls, Kibale Forest, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Queen Elizabeth, and Lake Mburo.
After an early breakfast, you will set off for Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls ranks among Africa's finest. A game drive will be conducted upon arrival as you head to the lodge. Another game drive in the late afternoon will be conducted. The rest of the evening will be spent relaxing at the lodge.
You will have an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls as you depart for Kibale Forest. You will pass close to Lake Albert. On a clear day, the view from the top of the Albert Rift is spectacular. In the afternoon, you will arrive at Kibale Forest, falling asleep with the sounds of the tropical rainforest.
At 8 am, you will start with the 4-hour chimp walk after a pre-briefing. In addition, 10 other primates can be seen. The park is also known for all its butterflies and birds. In the afternoon, you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you'll arrive in the evening. You'll spend the evening relaxing.
This day is for a game drive on the plains of Queen Elizabeth. It is home to thousands of Ugandan kobs, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, tree-climbing lions, etc. Also on the program is a two-hour launch trip on the Kazinga Channel, where you will see all the animals from the waterside. The rest of the evening will be spent at the lodge relaxing.
In the morning, another game drive will be conducted as you leave for Bwindi via the Ishasha Sector. For people who like to walk, the first 14 km is a stunning, beautiful walk along the lakeshore and on the hills. You'll pass mountains, hills, and lakes with cultivated terraces, tropical rainforest, and bamboo forest. You will spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the lodge.
This is the day for the gorilla tracking. At 7:45 am, you will be at the office of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a pre-briefing. At 8.30 am, you will start the trek. After finding the gorillas, you will spend a maximum of 1 hour with them. All visitors are expected back at the starting point by 7:00 pm. Being physically fit is recommended.
You will leave early in the morning for Lake Mburo National Park. You will have lunch in the Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara before you continue on your trip. Lake Mburo National Park is a smaller, but unique park and the only one in the western part of Uganda with impalas and zebras. Upon arrival, a short game drive will be conducted.
You will go for a game walk early in the morning. After a late breakfast, the last part of the journey will bring you back to Kampala or Entebbe airport. You will stop in Masaka for lunch. Then, you'll continue with a stopover at the equator for a tea/coffee break and to buy souvenirs.
