Welcome to Rwanda, the Land of a Thousand Hills! Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, your professional driver-guide will greet you warmly. After an early breakfast, your guide will warmly welcome you and start the journey to Akagera National Park. You'll watch the sunrise over Rwanda’s rolling hills as you travel. Upon arrival, you'll dive into a thrilling game drive, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and more. After breakfast, you'll drive southwest to Nyungwe Forest. On the way, you'll stop at the King’s Palace Museum in Nyanza to explore Rwanda’s royal heritage and meet the impressive long-horned Inyambo cows. You'll continue your scenic journey through rolling hills and tea plantations, arriving at your Nyungwe lodge by evening for dinner and rest.
You'll set off at 5:00 AM into the heart of Nyungwe Forest for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience. Guided by expert trackers, you'll walk through the lush rainforest to observe these incredible primates as they play, feed, and interact in their natural habitat. After the trek, you'll return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you'll enjoy the breathtaking canopy walk—suspended 60 meters above the forest floor—offering stunning views and a unique perspective of Nyungwe’s rich biodiversity.
After breakfast, you'll depart Nyungwe Forest and enjoy a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, you'll check into your lodge and freshen up.
