6-Day Amazing Wildlife & Cultural Experience Tour
This 6-day safari allows you to witness amazing animals, enjoy a cultural tour experience, and stay in exceptional accommodations. You will be immersed in the unspoiled nature of real Africa. You will have the opportunity to see wild animals up close and capture photos of Tanzania's wonderful landscapes. Included are the assistance of a tour operator based in Arusha, full board accommodation, an English-speaking guide, and private use of a 4x4 Jeep (mineral water, power sockets, and binoculars).
You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and travel to Materuni village. Visit a local coffee farm and learn more about one of Tanzania's most important industries. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the lush forests to the magnificent Materuni Waterfalls. The trek takes approximately 40 to 50 minutes, with plenty of opportunities to swim, take photos, or simply relax and enjoy the breathtaking views.
After visiting the waterfall, head back to the village, where our car will be waiting to take you on a short drive to a nearby coffee plantation. Here, learn about the fascinating process of coffee making, and choose to purchase some locally sourced coffee to take home with you. Next up is a delicious buffet lunch featuring local cuisine. Afterward, you will return to your hotel.
Throughout the trip, your knowledgeable guide will be on hand to provide you with information about the local culture, history, and natural beauty of the area.
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha. The drive to Lake Duluti is about 20 to 30 minutes, passing through rural landscapes and potentially offering glimpses of local life. Upon arrival, head straight to Lake Duluti. The most popular activity here is canoeing on the calm, emerald waters. You can rent a two-person fiberglass canoe, often with a guide. This 1.5- to 2-hour activity allows you to glide across the lake, enjoy the peaceful ambiance, and get close to the water's edge.
Keep an eye out for birdlife, including kingfishers, fish eagles, and cormorants, and perhaps even monitor lizards basking on the shore. After canoeing, embark on a guided nature walk around the lake or through the surrounding Duluti Forest Reserve.
Pack a picnic basket and enjoy a relaxed lunch by the lake's edge in a shaded spot.
We will pick you up from your hotel between 7:30 and 8:30 am and meet your guide. You will drive to Tarangire (a 1-hour and 45-minute drive), famous for its diverse landscape. The park is particularly known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees and the largest concentration of elephants in the whole country. It provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. You will do a game drive through the park, depending on where there are reported sightings of animals (mostly predators, lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as they are harder to spot). The herbivores (giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, etc.) are plenty to see.
Later on, you will go to the Tarangire River picnic site and enjoy the beautiful view of the river and animals while having lunch. Small monkeys and baboons will try to scare you off your lunch, but there is nothing to worry about.
You'll be picked up from your hotel and start a beautiful journey across the Great Rift Valley for a full-day game drive. Although small in size (205 square miles), the park boasts breathtaking scenery and is renowned for its lush acacia forest, giant figs, mahogany trees, as well as a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys. Permanent residents of this park include giraffes, elephants, impalas and a huge number of buffaloes. The lake is also home to a large number of hippos.
The landscapes of Lake Manyara are something that cannot be described in words. The game drives along the lake provide stunning photo opportunities of giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground and the lake in the background. Additional tours are available, including a bike tour or a boat excursion. In the afternoon, you will return to the camp for dinner.
You will wake up in another "universe" - that of the Datoga and Hadzabe community. You will first meet the Hadzabe people, whom you can accompany on a hunt and discover their customs and traditional dances. Lake Eyasi is a shallow, seasonal, endorheic salt lake situated at the base of the Great Rift Valley. The Hadzabe Bushmen, as well as the Datoga and Mbulu people, reside in this region. Meeting the Bushmen is worth the detour. They will kindly show you where and how they live and hunt. It will be a truly timeless experience. The Hadzabe people are one of the last hunter-gatherer groups in the world.
You will have lunch at the picnic area. At the end of the day, you will drive back to Arusha, where you will be transferred to your lodge.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet our driver-guide at the hotel reception at 08h00. You will board the safari vehicle and depart for the full-day safari in Arusha National Park.
Arusha National Park is one of the mysterious national parks located in the northern part of Tanzania. The park is dotted with three varied, spectacular landscapes and is renowned for its rich flora and fauna. You will begin your adventure with a 4-hour nature walking safari. You will have the chance to observe a variety of wildlife, including water bugs, baboons, small antelopes, impalas, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and flamingos on the banks of Lake Momela. You will have lunch at the picnic site.
After lunch, you will continue with the afternoon and midday game drive. In the late evening, you will leave the park and head to Arusha town, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
