During our 14-day tour in Uganda, you will encounter the rich history and cultural heritage through exhibits like ethnographic, natural history, rituals, and traditional art collections. You'll indulge in Sipi Falls with hikes and coffee tours. You'll visit Kidepo Valley for wildlife viewing. You'll visit the Karamoja Karamojong community in Uganda, a diverse community with profound culture and heritage, and Murchison Falls for game drives, Nile cruise and canoeing, hikes, and other activities.
Upon arrival at the airport, you will receive a warm welcome from our tour guide of JM Jungle Safaris. Following a brief overview of your thrilling safari adventure, you will be escorted to a nearby hotel for some relaxation. Should your energy and schedule allow, you may proceed with a captivating city tour of Kampala, Uganda's dynamic capital.
This city tour provides a unique perspective on the vibrant life of an African city. Attendees will have the chance to explore the grand Kabaka Palace, the historical Buganda Palace, and the renowned Old Mosque. Each location is steeped in history and culture, offering an intriguing look into Uganda's legacy. The tour concludes with a sampling of Ugandan cuisine.
After breakfast, you'll head to Sipi Falls for a scenic hike to the stunning waterfalls. Later, you can experience a unique coffee tour in nearby villages known for producing some of Uganda's best coffee. This area is famous for its Sipi Falls and its proximity to Mount Elgon National Park.
Cultural experience- The local Sabiny and Bagishu communities are known for their hospitality. You can learn about their traditional farming practices and way of life.
Adventure activities- For the more adventurous, there's the option to abseil down the waterfalls for a thrilling up-close experience.
After a morning refreshment, you'll drive to the Karamoja area in Kidepo, The Kidepo region offers rich cultural experiences that allow you to immerse yourself in the local traditions and lifestyles. You'll visit local markets where you can get handmade crafts, fresh produce, and other local goods. This is a great way to support the local economy and engage with the community.
You'll have lunch on the way and have an evening game drive in the park. This park is well known for cheetahs and ostriches that are not found anywhere in Uganda. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.
You'll have breakfast early in the morning and go for a wildlife viewing in the park. A lot can be seen here like giraffes etc. Later, you'll have lunch at the lodge and go for the evening community walk in the community of Karamoja. While on your walk, you'll be able to learn more about how they live. You'll go back to the lodge for an overnight stay.
On this day you will have a drive to Murchison Falls National Park via Gulu City. You'll have lunch on the way. Later, you'll check in at the largest national park in Uganda in the evening. You'll have dinner at the lodge as you prepare for the new day tomorrow in the park.
You'll have an early breakfast at the lodge and go for the morning game drive in the largest national park in Uganda. A lot can be seen here like lions, elephants, etc. Later, you'll have lunch and go for the afternoon boat cruise on the Nile. It takes over 3 hours to cruise on the waters.
You'll have breakfast and drive to Kibale via Hoima Road. Later on the way, you'll visit the top of the falls on the Nile. You'll have lunch on the way. Later, you'll have a swamp walk in the nearby community. This swamp walk gives you the opportunity to see lots of birds and primates.
You'll have a cup of coffee and later go to the park headquarters for the briefing about the chimps trekking in the forest. Once the chimps are seen you are given 1 hour to watch them this forest is the primate capita in Uganda where other primates like red-tailed monkeys, and black and white colobus monkeys can be seen. Later, you'll have lunch at the lodge and relax.
After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the foothills of Rwenzori Mountain. You'll have lunch at the lodge and go for a community walk and twin lake walk in the nearby community or sundowner on the twin lakes. This gives you a chance to encounter with the community. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.
You'll have an early breakfast at the lodge. Later, you'll go for a morning game drive in the northern sector of the park; Kasenyi Plains. It takes over 2 hours according to the program of the day. Later, you'll have lunch at the lodge and drive to Kazinga Channel for an afternoon boat cruise.
You'll have breakfast and drive to Bwindi via Ishasha road and have a short game view for the search of tree-climbing lions. The southern sector of this park is well known for the tree-climbing lions and its diverse wildlife like topi. Later, you'll check in at the lodge.
You'll have a cup of coffee and drive to the nearby park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla trekking. In the forest, you are given 1 hour to watch the gorillas. Later, you'll drive to the lodge for lunch and drive to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation on the lake.
On this day, you'll have relaxation on the deepest lake in Uganda. You can have a simple canoe on the deepest lake in Uganda as you relax about the days you had in the field, or you can have a small walk on one of the 29 islands that are found on this lake. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.
After breakfast, you will drive to Kampala via Kabale Mbarara Road. You'll have different stopovers on the way like at the equator for photography. You'll have lunch en route and reach Kampala in the evening.
